Adrian trained at the Universities of Reading and Nottingham where he won prizes in organ performance and piano accompaniment. He served as music director in three schools – Dover Grammar, Roedean and King Edward VI Lincolnshire before being appointed first Musical Director at the new Ecumenical City Church in Milton Keynes, where he organises an extensive international concert series and community music programme.

He directs the Cornerstone Chamber Choir and Orchestra and New English Singers and is well known locally for his illustrated talks on music. He founded the Boynton Piano Trio and is a regular accompanist to a number of solo instrumentalists and singers.

Adrian has weekly classes at BMS for Associated Board candidates in sightreading, aural and theory. He also maintains a successful private teaching practice in Milton Keynes.
